give the projection modifier a try. i use that frequently for transferring uv coordinates between different meshes, e.g. copying uv's from low- to hipoly, works quite well here but requires a bit of cleanup in tight areas.
As most of you know, I've transfered some textures from one channel to another using that method: and the final result is perfect But look what happens if I bake a map with little flakes in it: They appear horribly stretched. I just can't figure out why this is happening.
Megascans assets may not be sold or resold, regardless of how modified they are. Copyright isn't transferred when downloading assets from the library. Essentially we don't permit users to compete with the Megascans library by using the library to do so.
In that case, you could keep your triangulated mesh on standby while you do rig work on the quad version. Copy Skin Weights can be used in world space or by UVs when you're ready to transfer and export.
Watched the BlizzCon animated short panel and came across how they reuse and recycle animamtion with Animation Library. These men are smart men. Thanks ,Andrew Conroy Animation Transfer, CurveStudy and arc Fixing. Now...time for Smear frames.
Despite the body/wheel poly density discrepancy it does look pretty nice. If you had time to clean up the bakes and transfer those poly's to the silhouette it would a great piece. How did the open day go?
An update with color and slight face adjustments. All this texturing is just preliminary, and I plan on transferring the polypaint into photoshop/3D coat, where the real texturing will begin. First I'm finishing the armor :) will post big update soon.
That's the standard dialog you get when changing channels in Max now. It's just asking you if you want to transfer the layout from the channel you were on to the new one, or go with what's currently in the channel you are switching to.
I would setup the assets in Maya with a lighting/reflection rig, and transfer it all there. Note however that you can afford simple lighting and reflection on mobile, it doesn't have to be all fullbright. SEM is particularly fast (think matcaps).
A material I made for the tomb's wall. Going to create a few of the tile pieces and then my lead and I are going to discuss colour preference of the tribal style design. I painted the design in ZBrush and transferred it over as an alpha into Designer.
