I've been using it alot lately for getting areas blocked out for things like patterns and lines that wrap around the mesh. I wish the viewport settings were easeier to work with. I also wish they had the same layer blend modes as photoshop. Helps when bringing in the psd to work on in layers. But I'm liking it alot more…
Only FBX animations are supported in Viewer, so if you're trying to load an Alembic ABC file, you'll be able to play it back in Toolbag but not Viewer. Certain other features like blend shapes may not be supported in Viewer as well. If it's an FBX file using standard animation data, could you please email a copy of the…
Hey, super cool seeing your detailed process. I think it might enhance readability if the cape had different colors or values for outside and inside. When squinting, the ears look a bit seperated from the head, due to lower value? Blending with the bright fur of the head might connect them more to head. Just some opinion…
So I had a go at making the DOTA 2 Hero shader in Blender a few years ago, turns out it was pretty crap. Just for fun I tried again. This one shares input parameters with Valve's Workshop Tools, and is a much more faithful reproduction. Shadows are still missing, I've not decided how best to tackle those in Blender yet.…
Massive thanks mook , yeah a lot of people suggested I make the magazine black but seeing it in a photoshop definitely convinced me. Also went ahead and made the pistol grip black too. And with that I'm calling this gun done, finally. after like 3 years Blend file from "November 12 2017" I uhm... didn't know what I was…
Oooof I'm slow, but I can kind of use Blender now :# I've been spinning my wheels and getting nowhere trying to create some cool tiling textures for the building. I think I'm just going to go with a super simple instanced material with solid colors and work harder on the lighting. Next on the list is creating a terrain…
@McGreed you are right, I think its the microdetail I added causing that, and the roughness. It's not visible tho from a distance and should be fine ^^ Here's what I have at the moment. Did some material blending for the front building, and added some detail with individual bricks. Made a decal for the ac vent fan thingy…
I haven't posted much on this thread in the last few days, I have been super busy with work and such but I am aiming to work on this project AT LEAST an HOUR each day maybe two but at least one hour. This is what I have finished on the texture, working to get a good grass texture going to blend with this one and mix them…
speedtree is reasonable, if you create your own in it probably 1 tree in 25 is any good (realistic shape wise) the bark textures and their normal maps are pretty good... foliage is hit and miss, you'll end up making your own (as speedtree are not well matched so they can look odd and mismatched ie not from the same…
I definitely agree with you on that one, it's mainly due to the stone material that I'm going to be using is rather noisy when compared to the woods that I've made so far. So when I get into my material blending on the pagodas I'll see if I need to go back in and put in micro detail that the stone material doesn't offer.…
