A little context on what you're doing when it crashes would help. Can you consistently recreate a specific crash? Some specific actions can cause crashes, for me, it's turning on and off isoline display on a turbosmooth modifier while I have edges rendered. Are all your drivers updated? So is it supposed to look like that? Doesn't look like a solution.. Unless you are using multiple UV channels, your 3 UVW modifiers will overwrite each other, only the top one will actually do anything. Model the road with a spline, check the create UV button and make it renderable or sweep it.....that'll make the road… -

in newer versions there is 'Local Aligned' but doesn't always work. i use Extend Borders script. it has some quirks like it doesn't work with an Edit poly modifier, you need to have Edge constraint off and sometimes you need to toggle Straighten Corners if it's bugging out. Yup you can: You can use the Snap Together Tool(Modify-->Snap Together Tool,then go to the options box,to tick your desired options)to align an object to a face.If you need it to align to an edge,just extrude that edge temporarily untill you are done.. I think I figured it out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Since I put in a constant one value it was taking the multiplied material and adding 1 to everything. When I clamped it down it locked it all at one. Since the I could only vertex paint between 0 and 1 I wouldn't ever be able to modify it since it was a constant. -
