Yeah normally most companies will offer relocation help, though it doesn't bode well that they didn't mention it with the job offer. Good on you for getting out of Michigan, I used to live there and there's almost nothing game related there.
Quick question, is there anything related to UDK's DeriveNormalZ available? If not, how would I construct a correct tree to efficiently calculate the blue channel from R and G? Would this even make sense on mobile platforms? Cheers :)
Hello board, I'm once again available. If your project is in need of animation support do write me an e-mail and I'll try to help you out. (Please, no profit sharing or related payment schemes)
pretty nice, that is a concept i had in my todo bin for a while but haven't even gotten to starting it yet. and yes it is Deus Ex HR related, tehre are 2 more Vertical slice concepts too that are similar.
Max extensively. XSI for anything complicated. Mostly related to GLSL shadering and some other cool stuff. Been trying to learn more about using XSI seeing that some game companies are beginning to use it more.
It looks cool, but not so cool I'd want it around in my house. I share a flat right now with two other game devs and there's enough of tasteless game- and anime related statues and crap around as it is :P
I am sorry as this wot help you with your problem,- but I wanted to share this related tutorial: http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/maya/non_photo_realistic_shading/realistic_shading.asp that uses a interesting approach in toon shading with maya
They're showing Blazing Saddles at the theater next door soon, I don't know if it's related to his passing or not. Blazing Saddles is a classic though, one of the funniest movies of all time, at least in my opinion. RIP.
If you think its vertex color related, try changing the polygon display properties. Display>>Custom Polygon Display (option box) There will be a checkbox for Color in Shaded display. Try turning that on or off, and changing the color channel.
On a related question what is a good domain name for a portfolio? Would it be best to just use my full name? Or a part of it? Or something else in full? Suppose it might not be a huge deal, but still something I've wondered about.
