Vig, have you thought of building a RAID setup for high speeds with larger amounts of data? I was just thinking, 4 drives in a RAID5 setup would be pretty speedy too. 4 of these would set you back $320 + a controller and would give you 3x ~60 mpbs write and 3x ~80mbps read, coming out at 1.9TB 240/180 versus your 0,13TB… -

Texture flying off, like "random geometry spikes" is usually a sign of graphics hardware overheating or dying. All right, another Q9450! I've got mine running at 3.45ghz on a Zalman air cooler, and I'm also rocking 8GB of RAM. My last upgrade in October was to add an Intel X-25M G2 80GB SSD hard drive as my boot drive (along with Windows 7). I installed the Adobe suite on it, and Photoshop loads with all of my brushes and plugins… -
