Hey no worries Brice! This is just about the best real-time shader I've seen and I really wanted to use it! I'm definitely behind the times in terms of graphics card tech. I'll just chalk this one up as another pro when deciding whether or not to buy a new card. Just to show you what's actually happening when I try to load…
So i Added a bit of a breakdown of the destructable building i did showing that i understand normal map generation. http://chrisredshaw.com/?portfolio=132 Is this a good presentation of the work? Im currently also working on this which will eventually make a nice edition and show some highpoly modeling skills.
Ah, I figured as much with regard to the normal but wanted to double check. Can never decide if mid point is meant to be 127 or 128 and have seen both values used in different applications. Hmm, might need to update my curvature post to reflect that for the mid-point gray. Thanks.
Def needs more different colored parts. The elbow disc/joint could be a different color. Knee pads maybe. Gray discs on the chest (the gray ones) could change the base to be a different color as well. http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/131/c/b/Marine_Poses_by_SgtHK.jpg
I went ahead and pitched in $130 for this campaign. I don't currently have an Android-based device for testing software, and this sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I threw in the extra $30 because I want two controllers. I've always loved local multiplayer, and wanted to develop for that.
looking to buy bump map generation software, have used Crazybump and Knald, but have come across Substance Bm2M 3, so was wondering if anyone had used both or could list off some compariisons? and what are the differences between the £89 version and the £139 versions of substance bm2m3? many thanks
Progress on The Sylph. Looking at older images I realise I might need to do a bit of work on the breast and the muscle where the breast joins the shoulder but I think I;m basically ready to begin sculpting detail. Resting at about 13k polys atm, target is under 25k
