I'd look into Maya Boolean modeling scripts. Would be a good time to learn it now on top of using Zbrush as a way to sketch the forms, and retopologizing them in Maya.
If that was possible, u could easily select faces in the 3d view and uvmap them to a trim sheet for example. Especially if the faces are many. If there was a script to do this that would be awesome :- )
why is he using that script in 3ds max ? Doesnt max have similar modifiers. Whats the difference between wrap deform and shrink wrap in this case in Maya ?
Agisoft uses an arbitrary value and scale as it has no reference when building the alignment. You can only scale and use a script to set orientation it in the pro version.
maybe you could fidget with this? http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/spline-ffd or just create a spline the way you want it to look, and snap the verts to it..?
Not necessarily; it could just be that I, not having had the option of splitting UV's by edge, haven't had the chance to find it useful (though Farfarer does have a script for it).
RappaTools has an unChamfer tool built in, though it's not free. SyncViews was also working on an unchamfer script a few years ago, but I'm not sure if that ever got released.
