Bit of an update. I left Wayfair in September, now at Darmstadt Graphics Group, doing 3D software development. Relying heavily on my gamedev roots. Great reading through the replies here, thanks all. I'm till hanging around Polycount, you can't get rid of me lol.
Thanks Adam, Seth, Rogue for making Verold happen in Polycount! You'll see a "3D" icon in the Polycount editor that you can use to embed Verold 3D scenes directly in your posts. this thread is 4 years old now - there's tons of info and decent number of environment artists. check out the polycount wiki, Eat 3D & 3D motive, to name a few resources.
Hi Polycount! I'm new to polycount and to 3d modeling. I have very basic skills in Maya and slightly more in 3DS Max. Right now I'm working on a simple model of an old radio. If anyone has any advice for an amateur modeler, I'd love to hear it! Thanks! Happy to be online :) Nicole
