Hammered copper wouldn't usually have those rather large un-hammered areas. If it does have more space between the hammered bits, it's usually a bit more even in size whereas yours looks more organic and less man-made. It also depends on what kind of hammered copper you're going for, got a reference image? Just googling… -

my 2 cents is that you should learn your fundamentals...anatomy, color theory, design...etc If you dont have a solid foundation regaurdless of what style your shooting for, your going to struggle. Don't let your "stlye" be your crutch. -
