Love the work, I know how eager we can be to show off what we've done for a studio/game so I know you just want to bust It all out. Awesome stuff love the style and that ?grass texture is really popping.
servers are back up! playing pc as surprise duoxan hahaha lets get to blowing stuff up @fletcher i played that mission today, busted up laughing about it. bad company 2 is way better the MW2 imho, but to each his own
Huge congrats on the interviews! I hope the final outcome is positive news! Can't think of a person who was busted their ass off more. Seems like every week your posting new art. See people, work hard and good things happen.
Joe, I still have that model :) Named it the "sr-25" or somesuch as I recall. My first normal mapped model was a bust of "Marsala" from exo-squad. Going on 4-5 years old now. or maybe it was this ( I don't remember which):
[ QUOTE ] nice, the round edges make it more realistic, but you should add some single bricks [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I just finished adding some more bricks to the busted wall and cleaning up the geometry and optimizing the low poly even more.
Witchhunts like these are deeply satisfying on a schadenfreude level, but rather frightening at how quickly this shit can snowball and potentially nuke this guy's career. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be busted and to be blacklisted if he's stealing work like this, but its scary none-the-less.
That is true. I guess i just can't help being a bit salty about the fact that now most people can create great looking things with minimal effort while i'v busted my ass off making things myself :pleased:
If you need some Ideas for the upcoming ;) HardSurface Bust Tutorial :D just go to Artstation and type in "Mecha" There are some great Robots. I like these a lot: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6Bdax https://www.artstation.com/artwork/JbxVZ https://www.artstation.com/artwork/DdewO
These are really cool and it's a nice start. Will you be making busts or complete bodies? You should block the clothes in and polypaint those tattoos etc :) Edit: Oh, god. Just saw the title of the post, must have missed it when I wrote the post :(. Sorry!
You won't be able to do what you want without busting the normals. Normal maps are baked with the low poly's information in mind. If you change those, you break the normal map. You need to transfer the normal map from the high poly.
