yeah I have been a fan since season 3. Girls, Guns, classic rock, gankin monsters and the Impala = good fun. yeah its not the best show but I give it a big thumbs up for being entertaining. It's the only show I watch regularly.
The sculpts have a fun style, but the texturing is really hurting your presentation. There is no material definition in your textures, every area has the same high gloss plastic sheen on it. Try playing with different specular and gloss values for things like cloth, metal, fur, etc.
4k is very large- I usually rather use it for rendering projects and not real time because with a 32bit OS it really eats up a lot of performance. Art test for a fan project you say, sounds more like work as fun for just a mod project.
Those "hardcore Fallout Fans" should just give Bethesda a fucking break. What has been released so far from Fallout3 looks really promising, and being able to run around in 1st/3rd Person in the World of Fallout should be good fun.

I do agree with you on the way the unlockable system worked and ive never been a fan of catering to casual players. Im a stupidly competitive person and I see improving in a game a big enough reward in itself... for me when the gates opened on TF2 i knew it wasnt the game for me, especially not after playing TFC for ~4…
