Can someone who owns the PC version verify whether or not this uses Steam cloud? I would buy another copy of the game right now if I could play between here and work. It's fantastic, and I already put 25 hours into the 360 one, but I want it on PC if it has cloud saves. someone tell me. :)
So, from what I've seen so far, I'm expecting Oblivion with a slightly shinier coat of real-time shadows and dual-wielding. Mind you, I could totally be wrong - but whatever the result, it won't change the fact that reviewers will still pile on the 8/9 out of 10 reviews left and right like with any competently adequate…
I'm going based off of the Steam page which says it's released in 1 Day and 4 Hours from now (It's 5:10 right now for me). Maybe it's 1 Day, 4 Hours and 50 Minutes which would mean 10:00 Pacific Time but it's got to be either 9 or 10 Pacific Time based off of the Steam page.
I'm totally reaching here, but in AA, the enemies knew that Batman was there somewhere, while the dude in the cave just had his friend randomly get flung off by something. I'd imagine that a normal human would take a little bit to fully absorb the situation and realize that someone's sniping. Then again, he DID immediately…
Awesome! Skyrim? Yes please, just make sure it does feel a bit exotic. It borders with Morrowind after all. But my biggest gripe is gameplay; level scaled items were a horrible idea and completely destroyed any sense of exploration in Oblivion. I pray that this won't be the case for Skyrim; F3 has shown some steps in the…
I am not a fan of what the industry is doing... My friend, who doesn't have internet at the moment bought Skyrim and Battlefield only to find out that you need origin and steam to, not only play, but to install it! Leaving a 60 dollar game useless right now... Even if he downloads steam, he would need a connection to login…
You've never seen bloom? There is quite a big difference between something that actually emits light, and light reflecting off a surface. Bloom is just a cheap method to make something look prettier. If used right, it gives a scene a very dreamy feel to it. Look at oblivion: I actually like bloom! :D So far, I'm impressed…
Man, I have to complain about the texture maps in Skyrim since I'm playing around with them right now. Badly arranged, inconsistant arrrangements across male and female assets for no reason (even if the model is identical), lack of any mirroring (if this isn't a technical constraint then it's a sin how much texture space…
Finally got my copy of GI! Looks so freaking cool. I went to play Oblivion and just noticed the coin has the Skyrim logo on the back! Then I noticed the logo on the lore booklet. Have I been so blind all along!? It's been right in front of us the whole time! time to play some oblivion... so much hype. arg.
If I'm right Vampire Masquerade was the first game ever made by another developer on the Source Engine, but I can't disagree Source is a mess to get custom content into, really painful long process. This is why I decided to switch to UDK, but not to go off topic too much. The NIF model format is really awful, very painful…
