any way in blender to have a symmetrize UV brush? like this: http://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Maya/files/GUID-E5C5B3FF-F703-45C3-8DEF-A3DCFD14C079.htm edit: talking about this interactive method that works on existing UVs, not any copy-mirror-paste functionality.
@FourtyNights the 2.79 master -- not the latest stable on the downloads page, but the one from the buildbot page -- has a new vertex-weight and vertex-color paint method, using a spherical brush instead of a projected brush. It should get rid of painting problems like that (I know what you're talking about...).
If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, then ya this bugged the crap out of me too. The fix for me is down by the orientation drop-down list (Global, Local, Normal, etc.) There's a little button with a 3D widget icon on it. If you click that, then you get the traditional move rotate and scale…
attached an animated gif showing off the problem, basically i run into what i think the problem he is talking about when i have a heavily triangulated mesh and i make a vertex group that is a bit jagged. when you reselect the vertex group it will select the triangle inbetween two triangles currently in the vert group.
@Daf57 which pinching are you talking about exactly? The one on the inside of the small curve? Bevel always generates full rings around a curve, so there is no way to tell it to not do that in single spots to my knowledge. Either covert it and retopo, like you already said or make the radius of the curve larger in relation…
Wow the BEPUik rig looks interesting. Do you think its not working with --enable-new-depsgraph because BEPUik is a separate blender branch? I was talking about --enable-new-depsgraph , using it gets rid of some lag I have with drivers that I have, however I will probably change the rig to work without it.
Well, as far as I am concerned the issue is still happening in 2.93 alpha. @Kanga, are you certain that you are using exactly what @shogunato is talking about ? That is to say, using the actual Tweak tool (as opposed to using a regular selection tool set to Tweak mode for drag). If yes then there must be some exotic…
Did you know ZenUVs has a integration with UVpackmaster2 to use their algorithm directly within its pie menus? I talk about that and other awesome little secrets on my latest video =) Its now my "Go to" UVs addon as it also has a Texel density tool built in! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Peyjv4A25-Q
I never got any word back on that. I'll probably hop in IRC and talk with him about it at some point. I don't care much about the icons specifically, but Blender really needs some better brush defaults. The ones that have been in there for years I think were just thrown in as placeholders and just never replaced.
There has been talk about it over the years and one or two attempts to at least start a 'game' branch, but without support (or at least acknowledgement) from BF it's all died a death - open source is all very well but without recognition from Blender HQ a lot of those efforts just languish in obscurity, which is one of the…
