That's the point. You want it to be lightweight so you can have it always running from startup. Anytime I need a portion of the screen posted, I just hit CTRL+Shift+4 and I get a cursor to frame my shot. @Kwramm - Can you provide a transaction example/webpage if possible? I can keep looking, but I haven't found anything describing what you explained. You meant, collect all my changes, and then at the end , add them all as 1 lump sum into the database?
You know how when you're working on a script for testing and you get old vars/strings/etc. going, things don't work unless you restart. Sometimes I loose focus because I thought something didn't work, but it did after restart of Maya.
malcolm, thank you =) Pymel is very handy as you work not with strings like in mel but with objects. It gives many benefits. However, if you have to process large amount of data, then you’d better learn Maya Python API for fast working of a script. As to me it’s not so handy but fast.
