Dude I will use that ALL THE TIME if you release it. It would be awesome if you add a mode to straighten the line (average direction vector, or something) so you can use the grease pencil almost like a gesture drawing. Or if you could snap those lines to world space too that would also be sweet.
the finished plugin add the vertex number option (it's a bit silly I know, it was more "cos I could" than any practical benefit :) ) [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WPrEW9R4jA"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WPrEW9R4jA[/ame] cant help think there's a properly good application/use for distance version.
This wannabe-TA (me) is working on a material tool for Maya meant to aid our level designer. Written in MEL ofc, and I'm building it around a stripped-down version of the original hypershade. Currently stripping away all the bullshit in it - I just want to keep the material stuff from it, and then add my own stuff and…
Hi All, This is WIP Maya script to cut and snap to the higher resolution loop. Use Select Edge loops and it will add the vertices on the missing areas and it will snap it to the higher count loop. It's mostly used if you want to weld terrain to the road or so. p.s : I am doing this for my second version of the Nitropoly.…
Thanks Eric, I'm not a fan of the circle ones myself, but I could add it in if someone wanted it. The preset checkers are generated procedurally in mel script so it's quite time consuming to create additional patterns. I just went with the one I've used most of my career plus three of the other ones the guys at work seemed…
yeah it's space colonization, seems to give a more "natural" looking tree. the biggest change I made to the algorithm I used was to add a normal to the points so you can add a growth direction bias (it's also very useful in other main application for emitters as scattering tools). Also a good decreasing sides cylinder…
The brush editor works just fine, it's the preset manager that's lacking. Reordering, renaming, deleting and adding brushes is a pain in the ass. I didn't add any suggestions because, from pixelherder's post I assumed he had plenty of artist feedback and was in need of programming help (of which I can give none), but I'd…
I have been working on a perforce checkin/out/add for photoshop. I can't take credit for the whole thing, the batch file construct is based on an older script by Vlad Dumitrascu, but I modified it for CS6 as well as added a few cosmetic additions and some cleanup commands Only problem I ran into was that your computer name…
Trying to learn World Machine 2 as a tool for RTS level editing. I gotta say I'm really starting to love working with node based apps like these. Slowly getting there, need to add output nodes for a heighfield and texture masks. Anyone have any cool to share regarding WM2? The coloring of the terrain is just for preview…
Hey, I saw a thread a while ago that explained how to get hard transfers edges between textures in a splat-like shader. I'm trying to add plaster over brick and I would like to control it in the shader with either vertex color or a mask (or both). I can't find the thread now. If anyone can point me in the right direction…
