Always love seeing new stuff from you kite. The armor and face of the forest king are really nicely done. Been spending some time lately learning the render engine in Modo. Sculpt and textures done in Mudbox.
I have made a base model for the not-so-fancy simulator graphics engine at my job. It only has a diffuse map since the Cal3D plugin we're using only supports this. Next thing to do is to animate this little fellow:
Syaped: very cool stuff, love it Anuxinamoon: very nice as will, noe put it into any engine and let some SSS go through those feathers :D ok worked a bit further throught the clothing, will start with his shirt now
A spacey bike im working on, body is almost complete. Right now its missing an engine, dashboard and wings, that are all blocked but not highpoly. The color may not fall in everyones taste but its at least different from the AO renderings and Zbrush pics.
Blockout of the legs done, and exterior jet form pretty much constructed (small hole in the side to fill in and the engines aren't done yet) *edit( Bleh, i wasn't going to post this render because i think it's crap, but here you go anyway
a building for a mod for the unreal 3 engine, is 3 1024 maps too many for one building? I have a 1024 map covering the entire building atm, but I need a interesting base the player can walk up to... also: sitting at ~700 tris
that looks pretty good mate, not sure about those purple pipes in the ceilling though. Is that supposed to be final? I think they stand out a bit too much. Show more stuff! wires and textures maps and whatnot. What engine are you using btw? Is that unreal?
Afaik the SDK is split into ep1 and orangebox, theyre using ep1. Ep2 is orange box engine afaik. But yeah while there's no coloured spec, if they were using ob i could have mixed in an envmap as well as potentially use a lightwarp to fake it. That's what I meant.
Pretty much nearly done, time to learn some higher end rendering so I can get some good shots of this dude. Have to say, Marmo engine handles cartoony stuff really well, probably one of the best I've seen imo.
PixelGoat that looks wicked dude! Engine looks very promising! I on the other hand trying some studio lighting tests, trying to get a feel of like a product placement rig for the phone I'm working on. Doesn't look half bad, very fast render too!
