great stuff...rectify will come in handy, usually end up doing that by selecting each row of verts and using an align script. Definitely will save some more time and aggravation.
Something wrong with the .mzp, it asks this when dragged into max; click yes and it applys your icons as a hugely stretched viewport background, click cancel and it does nothing (no script box, nothing)
sorry to bump you again, but just to be clear: if I change the swap 3d/UV function in a way that nothing gets merged at all you get about 7 modifiers on top of your current stack just for 1 time swapping (because I have to juggle between the 3 available channel types in order to swap the 2 propper). I'm a bit late as well (I've just started using max again, after a year locked into other software at work), and find your script absolutely awesome. Thanks very much :)
yes, and my 2nd part of the script is to find out a way to place the slice correctly. It works very nice so far and in comparison with the pelt mapping it actually unfolds 90%+ of it in nice squares.
im also using vista and 3d max 64 bit and got same error as pea. After the AO Bake button causes the error, all the buttons in the whole script no longer work.
he render, you know that old uvtools? why not add its function and make your script to relace it so the toolset is connected to the uv window its pretty annoying to have it in the startup
will try to look into that,- though last time I could not reproduce it here. here is a smal teaser for the next update, featuring the rectify script: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29j0Pdf81rw[/ame]
Probably you are alreary aware of this script http://scriptspot.com/3ds-max/unwrap-tools , the docking thingy seams to work here. Anyway, your tools rock even without fancy UI options! :)
got a link to that max LSCM script, i really need something like this intergrated into max, cos exporting destroys so much stuff, including custom attributes that cant be exorted or imported cheers
