thank you man, i got the idea where is should put extra edges for maintain the shape. so, what method you use for start building that "oddshape?" I mean starting with square, spline or anything else? I see, so you do with spline first and than converted into polygon, right?
I've been trying to make this spiral/ helix thing, and I'm not really sure what would be the proper way to do it. Creating a spiral is not too difficult, but the problem is with the start/end parts of it. The reference I have for it doesn't seem to have a gap between the start of the spiral and the cube it needs to connect…
This has literally been answered on every page in this thread, read back a few pages... You need more geometry on the object to retain the shape. Try starting with 48-64 sides and start again, remember to space the loops and try insetting the cutout from the surface and pulling it back, that way you'll generate some…
Cookedpeanut, I am aware that it was answered and probably somewhere on start but for some reason cant see any images from the start to around 15-30 pages. Anyway atm im going backwards from 201 and only got to 175 so still a bit of digging to go through Dunno maybe my internet is bad.
