@rafastrip How big is that model? If each of those bigger square are the equivalent of 1x1 blender unit/m the model would never fit in 1k texture unless you overlap it. To apply it correctly you should first set te texture size, then apply the checker map texture, and then apply the texel. Just in case, this addon is…
Hi and thanks for taking the time to answer. I had the suspicion that texel density might have something to do with this (or padding perhaps). Can you please elaborate on your comment? I am attaching the complete UV sheet made for this asset. What would be the ideal texel density then if I want to have one UV sheet for the…
@mospheric i do keep a spreadsheet where i catalog every addon or change i make to blender. This helps me better understand why i use some addons or changed settings, especially with 2-4 computers i use blender with. I'll pm you with some personal suggestions. @Gazu: No update anytime soon for 3dsmax. Should i have to work…
i was about to start learning about unwrap and baking, i guess i got lucky. It is possible to assign a hotkey for some of the actions? like the iron face for instance Thank you for the addon!
@renderhjs Thanks for your quick answer. Now it's all make sense for me. One more time thanks for Your help. You doing a great job I can't wait for new features. :)
Thank you @renderhjs for these amazing tools. The upcoming Pin and Relax tool is exactly what I'm looking for since I've been dealing with a lot of circular shapes that need straightening. Really excited for the next update.
Soooo cool! Thank you very much for this. As soon as 2.8 hits I think I will make the transition to Blender as well... These tools do not update any of the UV relax algorithms, though, right?
Thanks @renderhjs for the great tool, I used your 3dsmax version back in the day and really missed this in Blender. Some small thing I'm missing are mirror tools, any chance you will add those in future?
Found another issue... using Convert->Vertex Colors works on the selected object, but if you have any other objects with ColorID's in the scene, the ColorID's on those objects are obliterated. It also does not convert them to vertex colors.
Oh man, can't tell you how excited about this I am! I switched to Blender from Max a couple of years back, and while I regret nothing about that decision I've definitely missed TexTools :)
