Incredible work in this thread! So much of it in one place! I have a couple questions: Can I assume that the posed character renders have already been rigged? Or do you model them like that? Also, if these are hand painted textures, what are the alternative methods of texturing?
@Dragonar I love this project so much! The textures and concepting is amazing. Is this 3D or 2D? @chrisjuuuh that looks awesome dude! I love the particle effects I just finished this piece for my environment modeling class! Check out more images and a Marmoset render here
Learning to handpaint..sigh..again. Hoping it will stick this time. Im sick of working in the realistic world haha. After doing some studies im going to do a scene. Where does the hand painted artist community render models? Unreal, Toolbag? Im messing with Toolbag and not getting good results at all, its like the texture…
couple things from this year... Freelance: (Just rendered this out for this thread actually, been sitting on my h.d. :) ) (I made the character and composite here, not the environment) Just made this and edited my post, so I'm not spamming the thread: Personal: Turn Table: http://vimeo.com/61412746

Awesome, you finished it! :poly142: I like the color scheme especially. I feel the fabric could stand to look a little more like actual fabric. Very nice rendering, regardless. :) Just for kicks, you could pack that up as a Quake 3 skin and submit it to the Worldspawn archive. :D!
Everything in here inspires me so much! I wish i could just do handpainted all day every day! I recently finished a little Genie designed by Baptiste Gaubert i had a lot of fun so i hope you like it! More renders on my Artstation! Thanks!
Hey I thought I would upload a 'hat' I've been working on for another game. The poly count is 1340 and texture is 512 x 512. Rendered in Unity. The mesh was 'hacked together from a previous one. On a separate note .There are some really nice work above here and good references for colours :3!
Hello Friends. Here is my WIP for hand-painted diorama I'm doing. Getting a little busy IRL so might leave this for later. First time using marmoset render. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to improve lighting etc. Also feel free to comment/criticize.
