Hi, my first post on polycount forums; it took me a loooong time before I found the courage to post something here ... This thread is just amazing :) This one I made last week, I have some catching up to do ... You can check out the different steps here: http://cghub.com/images/view/633391/
Love what I'm seeing here, specially all the 3D models with Sketchfab. I've been working on this a while. I have been able to work on it only for two sessions now but its coming along nicely. Just need to tweak a few things here and there. Next step is texturing. Still a bit hesitant to jump right in. Cheers!
So I'm trying to make some character bases for a project I want to do after summer. I've been sculpting away in Sculptris every now and then. and today I turned my guy into a girl. I think I'll still need to do a fair amount of polishing before taking this to the Retopo step =/, Im not confident at all about those…
Loving this, probably one of my favourite PSX games. One thing I'd perhaps suggest is adding some extra movement on the transformation, like a little back step so it looks as though its balancing, or even some strain on the lower legs to simulate weight. Some of the story FMV's have 'it' doing this. Just adds a little life…
A lot of shader tweeking and some new model but the progress is still too slow. I only have weekends for this project and I wish I could use all the time that I have to make this done. Caustics effect is just a simple decal material with panner and rotator effect to it. Next step is to make more props and fixing textures…
Man you've really stepped up your game on this one. Love the painterly rendering of the background. Contrasts nicely with the space ship. The ship might be a bit noisy for my taste, mostly due to all the harsh angles it's built up by, but still you do a nice play with light, bringing the frost forwards with warmer colors…
Thanks Somnovus, I like to keep my strokes to a bare minimum, only putting detail where it's really necessary. I also look at traditional painting for ideas and techniques. One of my favorite contemporary artists is Jeremy Mann, check him out if you haven't done so already ;) TeriyakiStyle I love it, especially the second…
Heya guys, First post of some WIP on the website. Recently getting back into 3d. Taking my time and learning zbrush as well as max or maya ( leaning towards max right now but we will see) I plan to finish this sculpt and then bring it into one of those programs and retopo it for practice. Still early stages right now and…
Working on this right now. Crosspost! http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127055 Wasn't sure what it was going to be at first, But I decided to go ahead with this pool idea. Still alot of work to be done, the room is kind of boring atm, and way to monochromatic. Next step is to add some big arched windows…
I'll continue posting a link to my progress-blog here while I update. It saves people time rather than putting it in the image itself: http://stirlsr.blogspot.com.au/2013/10/hangman-operator.html I really feel that I pushed my skills with zBrush on this one. Compared to some of my other stuff I'd like to consider this a…
