The Naga swords were just made to test the cloth system. The Warlock staff has four strips whereas the default one only has three, although making four was kind of stupid but I'm only trying to add cloth to it because it is an old item that was added.
Thanks for the help mate! But i have encountered a new problem on a new item... Am I doing something really dumb or is the queen of pain bone system glitched because when importing it into the workshop it says I can't find any bones corresponding to the heros skeleton...
I remember hearing they were going to redo the particle system for contributors, the Chen set nulf and I made was denied simply because valve was updating his workshop files and weren't taking any new Chen sets, I think the same thing might be going on with particles.
They have worked with some of us on the tools sections to help make their submission system better, but they never took the time to explain what they did. They just said "We would like you to fix this and send us the files so we can do some testing", and then "ok, it works. thanks!"

Thanks for this ArchoX, it makes allot more sense for the rimlight intensity to be stored as a single value as you mention. Im not 100% sure why the original AXE (and some of the other characters) rimlights have what looks like a gloss map - im guessing old systems for some of the older characters.

Before you submit there should be portrait option, just browse through every page in the importer. When you find the correct button, probably labeled something like portrait, you can edit the portrait using Valve's light system. You can change camera angles, light intensity, etc.
