Baddcog I think your colors look a little flat, try playing around with gradients of color to add interest and depth. Also I think the yellow parts should be made more of a metallic gold.
the "cuts" look really awkward and flat, the volume on the dies is lost, and it looks like a helmet, rather than hair. You may want to rethink using the alpha (or if that's just geo) and add more volume via geometry.
forget that one but even with that i cant see the normalmap i tested with the mighty boar model, with the same flat color and he too dont show the normalmap... testes on the model viewer and in the source film maker that is confusing...
Ooooh now I want to make an item that I can use a detail mask on :) It looks good but I think you could bump up the metalness/spec on them they look pretty flat right now
Those hookswords Koffee, man oh man. Really beautiful stuff. My reaction is "Why didnt this get thought of sooner." Nice execution overall! The diffuse on the flag seems a little flat, but that's really all I got.
Its not really good to have "no" specular, but it would be completely valid to have a flat specular channel. You will want to play with the Red- Spec intensity, Blue-Tint spec by color, and Alpha- Specular exponent of mask 2 to find the best results.
It's flat, the glowing center could use more geometry, the blue lines are wonky, yellow trim could use some red undertone and the overall shape seems wonky, you may want to spend some time moving those vertices.
Break up some of the big flat colors with gradients a bit more and do some more top light based shading. Right now the red parts looks very plastic-y, like somebody just took it out of a toy box.
hey guys, I started working on an item for rubick. Any crits would be greatly appreciated! also.. I hate normal maps. So it's all hand painted so far.. I know it's ok to use a flat normal color instead.. but still..
hahaha i was like "why he made a dog with yellow horns?" sorry, was looking upside down about your skull, if you are planning to do it with a rounded back, the front could have some volume too, the lowpoly is tottaly flat on the "face" of the skull
