Already posted by Cryrid, har har, but yeah, it's good a tuto. Almost forgot, for people like me who don't do this for smaller things, here is what I use: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/loop-regularizer
I'm not a UE3 guy, but I bet there's a tool to render cubes from your level. If not, it'd be trivial to script one by matinee-ing a 90°-FOV camera into the six directions and screencapping from each. oops, Marcan beat me to it!
Same here. We're using Gamebryo for our engine, and they do not provide editors of any kind. We use their in-app tools and export scripts to export the scene from 3dsmax into *.nif format. What are you looking to find out?
It will probly default to the newest dx driver but to be honest, i couldn't say for sure as i never use the switch. i need seperate plugin paths and scripting/ui options so i just go with the ini file loading.
how much control is there over what kind of movies you make and what you can do with them? do you choose pre-made scripts or can you write your own? are you limited by the genres of the era?
At work my main monitor is a 30inch, 2560x1600. I do a lot of text editing (shader code, scripting, etc etc) so I have a secondary 20inch(or something) monitor at 1680x1050 I use for text/email/browsing.
Create a action script in photoshop that saves the PSD and the tga (or whatever format your doing), in one shot. Set a hot key for it, say F4, so you only have to press that one button. Saves both and is easy to remember.
for chadwick's solution you could just grab the URL and use substr to grab the category name and url. to make it a live update, make a php file to update your links, and then make an ajax script to access that php file on a timer.
http://www.movietome.com/movietome/servlet/MovieMain/movieid-101714/The_BFG/ The BFG was already made into a movie (an animated one that bombed). I guess a script is also in production for the remake! It was my favourite Roald Dahl book... sad sad sad
Well people rp sex in WoW so imagine what happens when you have an online game where you can create your own av's, upload custom animations and even script particles for, erm, spurting
