Hey thanks I actually appreciate the constructive criticism. The models I posted are actually about a year and a half old, and I have improved since then. Unfortunately most of my ZBrush work has managed to disappear, and my better remains on a jump drive that i never seem to have the time to plug in. I just wanted to make…
Did some more work on the mesh, tryied to get more definition in the legs like mentioned, I also gave him propper coven hooves and cleaned up some more extranious polys where I could. My only problem now is rigging him, I had a look at how all the original UT2003 models were done, and they're all based of the pre-made…
Hello, I'm intrested to test your tool wich seems to be intresting to me. Something you should probably think of would be to to provide a depth var to users. Same things as ndo do. There is something to be done with the way you are handling things [by polygons] that is the main stuff of your tool. It look like the same…
Without having access to your model and textures the following is just a guess, so YMMV: To resolve the problem, import each mesh with its own UV map separately. After you import your first object, just go to "File-->Import Object" in the program, name the new object's UV id and set the texture size. So now when you select…
Thanks for the links Xoliul. Seems like its a problem with 3dsMax to UDK overall, or just the way that UDK renders Normals/shades geometry. I'm actually using Modo for my baking, and I'm still undecided whether I want to use CE3 or Marmoset (UDK was kinda my last option). So hopefully I won't bump into any problems that…
Because peel is probably not the best way to handle that, or you used peel incorrectly. The 3dsmax help file (press F1) explains peel and gives good examples of how to use it. It seems like the blade is fairly straightforward but the pommel/handle area is tripping you up because it has some thickness to it? You can planar…
i went for a SATA-600 hdd and that's a marked improvement over the SATA-300's. and for a 1tb hdd it was only £50. sure windows boot speeds and application launches will be faster on an SSD. but i boot from cold to application launch in windows (you know, when you can actually DO stuff) in 12 seconds. and max takes 4…
That's pretty awesome, but it doesn't work in my version of Win10? Do you have to have a particular version, or enable something? I've always used the Autodesk FBX Reviewer that would open FBX files in a stand alone viewer. It's light weight and opens really quick. It gives you full control around the scene too. It's…
Thankyou , ok my idea is to make the stone features in zbrush , add the other details I missed in Zbrush as well , add the broken ear and had also there ... the pic I posted for front is misleading since is a simetrized version of the left part I used to be able to build it up in 3dsmax now I have broken the ear and added…
Actually from my tests with TB2, exporting a FBX from Max and baking the normal in SD with the default settings will give you synced normal maps when you choose the 3dsMax tangent space in TB2. In the end it's faster and quality is much much better without having to adjust a cage manually most of the time. I will try to…
