Ben - No, the problem is that they ARE so damned useful and awesome. The trouble is they are non-transferable to other modeling programs. If your pipeline is 100% Modo, I would recommend using them all the way, no question.
sweet. Iam in my junior y@ in Portland. A good friend of mine just transferred to san deigo to finish her BFA in accessories&design. Ive heard Good things about sanD.
got it working - needed to click "cone txtr" button. Got it in 3Ds Max now and the problem i am having now is that a lot of the planes seem to have flipped themselves around in the transfere?
Set the selection mode in the 3D viewport to Face Select. In the UV editor use the UV > Show / Hide Faces > Hide Unselected command to transfer UV island selections to the mesh in the 3D viewport.
Per Buy just 1 Download :( I have downloaded the Tutorial on my Laptop. Today i tried to download it on my desktop but the links are closed. Must transfer it now with a usb stick... ^^
Solid. But I'd block out everything at first. The things that worked in 2d might not transfer that well in 3d and you don't need yourself some extra throw away work. Keep it up
Thanks Gir! I did some googling and found out the same functionality is in Maya through Transfer Attributes. I'll give it a shot when i get back from work tonight.
Have to agree with Jed on this one, the terms seem pretty clear that legally you're not supposed to sell your account. It also says it twice: "The rights granted to you constitute a license and not a transfer of title."
You can bake textures to other models. Use the texture transfer bake I sort of have to question why you'd bother given that you can apply the seamless texture in designer.
i usually do this, also textools transfer button makes this process very fast on a technical sidenote this entire process could be scripted so youd only have to press one button
