put in way more light in there ! there are many spots where you cant tell whats going on at all. and whats even more of a problem, the materials you want to show are realy hard read! maybe it could also hepl to lighten the diffuse values of your sourrounding room. like to see a new brighter more homogeniously lit version ! -

I feel ya buddy, it bugs me too. At first it's like hugging a porcupine, then over time it turns into an angry junk yard dog and finally into a yapping Pomeranian. You'll get there, it will never stop being annoying, but it will do what you want, with a lot of sass, but at least you won't be walking away with a punctured… -

Oh man I really like those color studies. My only concern is if you are really going to push the concept of a fire/brimstone type hell, you might want to go with schemes that will look good with lava as that seems to be the iconic things down there. Thats not to say there cant be different areas in hell. A slime hell… -

The reason I covered her legs was that the skin is very light compared to the pants and boots so it draws the eyes to her feet, which is not what I what. I want the her face to be the center of attention first and then torso and finally feet. And I agree with you about the boots and gloves. I'll make an alternative version… -

Thanks people :) Okay so picked up texturing this guy again. Will only be the body for now. Might build an armor later. Not 100% on what look I want to give him except that he's fit for fight. I leans towards either the more sofisticated high-rank general type or the scarred robbust warrior... with extra bodyhair. -

Yes. Took me 2.5 years to find it. Hard to say if stylized is any fewer or more frequent than anything else. Prioritize realistic sculpts if you want to work in that style for a whole production. Do it so you can expand your range. It depends. If you feel like doing other thing besides character art. -

FridockShir: Yeah, I really like that concept, although I don't really have time to do the whole character. Maybe down the road I can add the whole body. Also, I decided it would be fun to explore what the Combine look like with their mask off. Still want to push it a bit more into the 'disturbing' range. -
