Any updates? Usually for game related stuff I like to see it in a real time rendering in like UDK. Looks like you are using maya sun and sky which is a bit washed out with default settings.

Just UV everything and make sure its all the right texel amount in relation to each other and just fit things the best you can on both sheets so that you are using the most space possible.
looks like you are off to a good start. re-analyze those corners and how beveled and rounded they should be in relation to the detail on the face of the sulpt. all the edges are too clean and give it a very 3d feel at the moment.
In the UK here. I went into Tesco to ask if they would be getting it in/have it in. They looked at me as though I was talking gibberish. Amazing how the staff on an Electronics counter have no idea about current things relating to ... electronics.
Kind of related: I'm an insomniac and one method I use to fall asleep is to construct a model in my head, tweaking individual verts etc. It doesn't have to be anything in particular, just a complex shape to keep track of.
Pretty cool. Related to presentation, you can use Viewport 2.0 with highest antialiasing to get smooth non-distracting edges. Add some ambient occlusion and you get good quality previews in real-time. :)
I'm not a max user but I believe this is related to the fact you have still modifiers enabled on your object and that you need to flatten them down first before exporting. Otherwise the export system will triangulate the mesh.
Handplane # 2 Does anyone know what those reinforced structures are called? The purpose of it is to make an object stronger by using less material. I know its related to "I, T, L" Beams, if im not mistaken
