Hello all!) Here is my personal game environment project. The scene is based on New Year decorations in my own city. I was responsible for all aspects of the project and rendered the scene in Unreal Engine 4. Music - O Holy Night (Minuit chrétiens) by Peder B. Helland Thanks for watching! Would be glad to hear any…
You can also duplicate the character rig by importing one into your scene, then assigning a namespace to all its joints. Then you can import your second character. You can append a namespace on import. The rigs break because maya detects two joints in the scene with the same name.
Are you using lightmass? I really don't get the feeling that you're getting alot of indirect lighting there. Get a few more photon bounces and it should really light that scene up alot. Dark doesn't make a scene moody or give it more atmosphere, it just makes it hard to see.
honestly, I think the scene is quite gorgeous, but I'm going to have to agree with chrisradsby that maybe you should try some other shots and angles. also, try adjusting the lighting in the background to make the shack stand out a little more. The scene looks gorgeous though. Keep it up!
Lovely scene so far, but ur AO is killing most of your values cause the contrast is so drastic; agreeing with what lobo said, i also thot it was a toon shader you had going on. If you manage to soften them up it'll do a lot good for the scene.
Update 04 • Updated the design and added the detail to the roof • Model an escape hatch/airlock for the roof At the moment I think my scene is repeating too much. I was thinking of adding another wall piece, as well as adding some unique objects to the scene to break up the modular look. =)
Kinda encourages me to take a shot at some stuff like this myself. I've not watched any scenes constructed like this, there seems to be a gap; I've seen lots of painting vids along with 3d vids, but I haven't seen any where the scene is constructed so thoroughly using perspective.
Well I just discovered that this is some sort of bug with the cut tool. After I saved the scene, closed max and then reopened the saved scene again all that edge mess is gone and the mesh looks exactly the same as in the picture from max 2015! Great job on testing the software, Autodesk
Cheers guys, I adjusted a few things based on what you said. I didn't want to overdo the rain because It just ends up tanking the scene's performance. Here's the final image of the scene, you can check out the rest here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/L2544r
I've finished second illustration from my "The Lord of the Rings (Eowyn)" digital art-photo project. In previous posts you can see some models which I used in the scene and raw 3d frame. Whole scene was made in 3d. Photo of the model (Szronogrzywa) was taken by me.
