Particles aren't related to this issue. As long as the bow is rigged properly, there shouldn't be a problem. It's most likely the model previewer. No bow I've heard of uses particles, I was just suggesting that it might be a previewer issue too.
interesting... Indie Game the movie available soon on steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/207080/ I realise its a game related movie and it isn't a mainsteam release. But, Might this be the start of movies coming through steam?
Scruples> What are the Positional and Tangental tolerance values you mention? Scene size cause this as in the object which is being smoothed is very small in relations to the working unit? The workaround if this is the case would be... working with larger models?
What kind of engineering were you doing and does it relate to the kind of video game art you want to work on? For example, if you are modelling cars for a racing game, being an experienced mechanic is a huge plus.
@McGreed, the pool of water seems to be a square. So create a square and try to match it with that, the rest of it should be easy. And even if you're not precise, it shouldn't matter that much, as long as the proportions are correct in relation to the other objects in the scene.
Here's a semi-related tech talk, I like finding reference from ideas like these. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QZp6smeSQA"]Michael Pawlyn: Using nature's genius in architecture - YouTube[/ame]
I've had lag spikes that didn't seem to be instant-preview related (e.g. they've also happened after changing a blending mode or picking a color.) But I'm having a hard time reproducing them reliably.
