This works for a binder where the pages stay on one side, then slide over rings to get to the inside back cover. But with a flexible spine they are stitched and glued together so the pages follow and deform differently.
Good Point ;p, when making it I thought it could also be one of those crates that's been modified to house a small apartment or something, so they snapped one side off and put a sliding door in.
For some reason I don't feel the trigger. Such a sliding variant feels too modern. (as in, current instead of retrofuturism) The back and sides could use some more detail, mostly the back. (because it's in your face)
question for the nDo2 peeps regarding basic usage - -The 'depth' slider/amount, just wondering is that based on an arbitrary amount (we just slide it to what looks good?) or based on actual measurements like 5 = 5mm extrusion/inversion... -Is there any tips on performance - making it work quicker? So far I've had no…
This is coming along nicely. But I think your lighting needs adjustment to get closer to your reference. It helps to place your renders side-by-side with your reference, so you can directly compare them. Also, are you thinking about adding more foliage?
Top Notch Adam. Might be cool to see some slime or a green or blue light coming from inside that door. I think that might give you a sinking feeling like whatever that tentacle is connected to is pretty messed up. Also considering how much motion blur there is on that hind right leg you would think it would be sliding and…
If you'll look at the bottom of your tablet -- that's the side you don't draw on -- you'll see an outlined patch that just fits the rubber strip. Keeps the slippery plastic tablet from sliding around on the table. Duh! /jzero
Hey everyone. I've finally gotten around to porting the TGA PBL CGFX shader for Maya to the new ShaderFX format for Maya(Works in 3DSMAX as well?). In essence this shader is very similar to the old one, but there are a few improvements. Highlight features of this shader:
* A real life material based fresnel term that…
AFAIK, it's best to think of the brushes as being 3d spheres, even though the cursor just looks like a 2d ring. It's not like picking a static displacement value via the intensity slider, and then independently controlling the brush size to paint that value. The size of the brush will dictate not just the area that is…
It doesn't look well integrated into the design and doesn't fit well. You could make it a separate piece that plugs in via usb or something along those lines. Maybe it could slide into an expansion slot on the side.
