Oh my GOD, look at this new Polycount skin! It's DEVOLVED so much compared to the majestic skin of the early 2000s! Where did the borders go?! Why is everything centered?! What are these solid colors doing on my screen!? This travesty of design must NOT stand! Take your pitchforks people! (chill the fuck out)
Last weekend I went to the in-laws house. This is really relaxing. All I do there is sit back, eat, watch TV and chill. Most weekends I work twelve hour days, just like every other day. I'm freelance, and I work a lot, but I pick projects I like.
So for right now Im trying to make his gear feel a bit more interesting. Working on doing a arm plate on his right. I bend the shoulder plate to contour his body a bit more so it doesn't feel like a wierd plate just chilling there :P
I think if I saw the hammer scene as a kid I'd remember it for months. That said, I still get chills thinking about that goosbumps episode where these kids sneak into a basement... and an episode of superman where lois and clark got abducted. Basically, you never know, it's not that bad, wing it!
Now that my big project Guilly is finished I've been working on some smaller projects to chill out for a while. A splatoon gun fanart and some hair studies. I'll be doing the hair in lots of different styles and haircuts but its fun to just do something smaller for a little while.
dv8ix: download unity, make a model, import into unity and see what it does...you will see what everyone is talking about. Also, you seem very defensive about this; chill out and realize people aren't saying you're stupid, just misunderstanding this concept. They're trying to help:D
you guys should chill , not every gun in games is 100% correct, sometimes its just to make them look cool , people that usually play fps arent like "OH BUT THE EJECTOR IR WRONG LOLOLOL" . Just come up with a cool design that has some functionality and do it.
@Ericewell: I'm also a big fan of their humor. I spent a bunch of time moving around and composing the characters which was the challenging part. Once I started the line work, its auto-pilot, chill time. This is the most relaxing type of art for me. I probably spent about 15 hrs on the line drawing.
I was a little weary of the whole first-person parkour idea at first, but I have to say that it is turning out very nice. I actually got chills at the large ramped jump towards the end when time slowed down. Im hoping thats a gameplay element there and not just fancy editing. can anyone confirm this?
Yeah, it would be nice to see some new faces. I like the guild, it's friendly and chill and there's something new to check out almost every day. People post links to their livestreams from time to time, and I've seen some cool stuff I would never have found otherwise through the inspiration channel.
