http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/lesson/noisemaker/ Edit: Whups, I missed the 'strands' part. ZSketch or IMM+Dynamesh would be the way to go for those. Ryan Kingslien has some neat videos where he quickly creates individual muscles by quickly shaping spheres and tubes
I still haven't found a way around it :/ I just offset one, then quickly go down my layers hitting CTRL+F on each one. It repeats your last filter. I remember finding a script for it once somewhere but it quickly stopped working for whatever reason.
The Third Floor, Inc. is looking to hire local Asset Builders in Vancouver to work on an exciting feature film! Must be a resident of British Columbia. By using the language of cinematography and animation in tandem to design the strongest possible sequences, a previs artist holds an impactful and highly collaborative role…
great responses! I'd also recommend C# and Unity if you really want results quickly. I've seen people coming from scripting language or from the art creation side and both were able to really quickly get into it and prototype simple game designs with very little learning effort.
We tend to use photoshop a lot to do minor tweaks on existing assets, i.e. a rock was made that is way too shiny, the Substance file of it can't be found quickly so we quickly tweak it in photoshop. In some cases making patterns for Substance Designer or Alpha's can also be easier in Photoshop.
Thanks @pmiller001 , I find that I plateau pretty quickly so diversifying my work helps me come back and reach a new plateau relatively quickly. That said - I try to keep the variations to a limited few things so I don't spread myself too thin.
It took me like 8 hours to realize I can kick and lunge. It helps so much! To kick press "foreward" + "R1" at the same time quickly To Lunge press "foreward + "R2" at he same time quickly. Did you know theres a ring that turns you into a vase???
First look at the entire character as a whole, with some lighting! Preview in Marmoset again, I find it's the best program to quickly view assets, even if they will be rendered in Vray later, so I can quickly find issues with the texturing or modelling. Looking for feedback on anything  Hand clipping will be fixed…
Usually any affordable screen calibration device when you try to calibrate for sRGB suggests you to make your screen 100-120 lm2 . Usually like 3 times less nuke than your screen can . With higher target values you need somewhat expensive pro level calibrator and quickly dying sensors while affordable one just can't work…
I would like reimport inputs to only reimport the maps you have changed and not reimport everything, for example I only want to quickly reimport my normal map and nothing else and I want to do this quickly over and over again because I am busy trying some ideas out with ndo.
