Thanks guys, Gibbage - Thanks for the reference photos. In my reference I had a pair of incorporated tail rotors. Would that suffice? Adding another set of blades is more geometry that I would have to inveset. The rotor is currently at 6785 tris. I have 35k total, so I'd like to put those towards the rest of the helicopter.

I agree with above. I had a ATI card I believe the 5870 and I had problems with it, from drivers to just performance issues. I went with a gtx 680 and its been amazing. I think you should get either a 580, 660, 670 or 680. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Upping the sample rate did solve the issue of that wire missing a chunk from its middle, but the vanishing near the vertices still remains.
