trying to speed up my process from scratch to finish manmade garden decoration cliff, Photogrammetry medium dense cloud setting. still using same raw data from manmade rock above, this time the texture got modified and rotated. no sculpt, just procedurally tiled in SD. , welp seems I will need to go outside more. original
Digging the modular pieces for the roller coaster. That no limits program does not work very well with UDK, its takes a lot of modifying to get what you want, especially for something like the Zeph. What you have now looks pretty cool for the coaster being out in the distance like that. As for the layout it looks awesome,…
Sorry, when I'm baking I use half of the low poly and baking to a full high poly mesh then with my results I take my low and duplicate mirror and weld, I'm using Xnormals to bake and also making my own cages, simple clone the low and using push modifier. For marmoset I have'nt looked ill play around with that
I hope as well that we can have two teams pitting against each another, with themes as: - Sci. Fi vs Fantasy (robots and spacemen vs paladins and magic) - Ice vs Fire (Crystal-like vs cracky lava) - Sweet vs Sour (Puppies in tanks vs bitter old men in modified wheelchairs) ...you get my drift. :)
Something to do with the symmetry and overlapping islands. Making a version just for baking with uv's on one half deleted or, just deleting half of it (after freezing normals ofc), should fix it. Sorry for the slow response and make sure you have a backup of your original axe. (if you use Maya it's called Lock normals and…
tutorials are cool but spend more time experimenting and learning - fail fast, fail often, learn from those failures. I recently saw a clip from a max tutorial that regularly used the model breaking mirror button (it screws up your normals) instead of the mirror or symmetry modifier. So tutorial dvds are not always…
It's not like people allow game modding with tools anyway. The problem is, that by using Editor you can essentialy make game on top of another game . I guess that is the reason why you can't simply bundle it along. On other hand 19$ for editor to mode game is not that bad. Most people will be turned off by this, but for…
Thanks for making that vid! That's cool to see how you are making your alphas. I've always had the same issue with mesh pinching from using brush modifiers, so I had started trying to wait until the end to use anything that pinched the mesh. From what you're doing though it looks like I might be able to get around that.
Your slowing down because your fighting collision. Have you modified the collision of the first person controller at all? By default its the same size as the pill. It looks like the doorways are too narrow, so your getting hung up. The doors seem to be a little too small in my opinion. The other option is to reduce the…
for animations it could possibly work to bake them into the fbx file. i think fbx or unity doesn't work with ik solvers, therefor you have to bake the animation into normal fk animations, which then work in unity. maybe you can use some modifiers and plugins/addons and then bake the animation into every frame as normal fk…
