That's looking great and so much more similar to the ref shot. Feels like darkening the blue edges of the frame around the stern like in the ref shot will help accent the contrast in the orca letters and surrounding color. Great job and love seeing someone bring a part of this epic classic to life in 3D!
great work you did there! I'm curious how you will tackle the interior. The vehicle base seems to be a solid block at the moment. So I guess some rework of the areas for moving panels and the cockpit hatch will be necessary. Anyway looking forward for your progress. This thing will sure turn out epic!
I've found that unreals engine isn't good at pumping up normals or spec, so you need to multiply and do other operations like you have started to do, to make them pop more. Open up some actual shaders from Epic to see what I mean.
lol, ferrets are epic... we gave ours their first bath recently. normally we shower them, but we decided to fill the bath with lukewarm water. the tub has a slight slope to it, so at one end they could stand up with their head above the water, but they had to swim the rest, they really enjoyed it!!!
Latest update, I think I'm almost done? Not sure but I'm itching to move on :P The tree, I really don't like the tree. Anyway crits welcome, gotta improve. Fire effect is from Epic, not made by me. (lighting by me though :p ) Texture Sheets/Wires Here
The lighting quality looks really bad. I can see light leaking all over the ceiling and the intersecting walls. If UE 4 still has quality settings for lightmass: use production settings. I was hoping Epic would've fixed this issue for UE 4. I'm really disappointed if they haven't :(
@Add3r and @Erik Rading - I disagree (respectfully). I think sinking into the atmosphere and *not* popping out is part of the charm of this shot. She's a sharpshooter after all and blends in to her environment. As a pro working at a well known studio, I'm pretty sure 7mch knows exactly what look they're going for.
As someone who was apart of the first group, who also did some actual work, and tried to reorganize after all of the leadership left, I would say this thing is a epic fail. The first group started slowly too. I've yet to see any real progress from the 2nd group.
Leilei obviously knows much more about writing engines than the people at Epic and id, which is why he's the highly revered genius behind the latest hardhitting impressive engine known as: err... Remind me again, please? Ofcourse I mean to be a dick, but seriously, lighten up eh?
Hello! my name is Jeremy I am tired of tutorial hell on learning CPP and BP and am just looing to connect with any unreal engine users who know what they are doing and connect on making a game together. I would like to make a 2.5d Metroid / megaman homage or a final fantasy tactics vs your friends? I know ,,, just epic…
