not a problem. wish i had the ability to update the prop. tech issues have kinda... messed me up the past week or so :/ hopefully i'll get an update up, but i wont be able to finish by tomorrow. was fun to sculpt though. good practice ^_^
I'll finish the other two sets after the competition, before making full-body replacements, if any. I want to see if the stuff I make is/is not popular first and take some time to practice more, before committing to larger projects for the chiv store.
Coming along slowly. Still need to practice on my fur but thanks for the ref teggs :) Made a few changes to the design but i keep fiddling around with this but cant really seem to get it done. Maybe i just need to suck it up and commit a weekend to it.
other schools, trust me school is not worth it i went and will be in debt forever. Learn on your own dvds practice here and save the money. as long as you can dedicate the time and stay on task youll save alot of money and problably learn more
Obviously the grass and cliff would be tiliables. So would the tree bark, and brick of the house. I probably could tile more, but I want to try handpainting textures which I have never done, so the more unique textures the more practice.
I like the feet but the rest of the geometry looks very basic. Also the final shader doesn't convincingly look like a metal surface (but the gloss seems ok in the smaller pics to the right). This is still great work after a few months experience. Keep practicing!

Entry for the ArtWar contest over at CubeBrush. Mainly wanted to practice doing splash-art type illustrations and learned a lot. Won't skip the research and thumbnails iteration early on because it wastes so much time trying to fix things that are fundamentally wrong with a piece.
Don't even think about doing high-poly work until you are comfortable manipulating triangles. You're holding yourself back by restricting your workflow to just extruding and cutting faces. Learn whichever tools are appropriate for the job and keep practicing; there's no "secret."
