Been busy with the high poly version. :) If there's something that catches your eye, please let me know. I'm also updating the low poly version to look a bit more "current gen". I will post screens of this soon.
Looks pretty good generally (to a non-animator). Altough you might want to redo the launching of the fireworks. It lift up before it even got enough speed. Also there's a black screen and weird transition around 0:54.
Here is an update, I changed the cheek rest and the color scheme. This is a screen grab from max using the Xoliul shader. The gun is for a 3rd person shooter being made with UDK. Man, I really need to learn ZBrush.
*Portfolio updates* That is 3D. It is a maya screen shot actually. The trim on the silo is using a cgfx shader, and the rest is flat lit. The bear is using a custom self lit shader thats just faking a nice back light and fresnel.
yeah agree about the tiring part. also seems like the detection field is a pretty small area really close too the monitor. not good as I would probably punch my screen more than a few times
This, meant to mention this in my post. If it is "global illumination" it is a hack-y one at best, as juniez mentioned... The ground and surrounding objects receive no bounce light, and the overall car itself seems to not be affected other than the screen space reflections.
I kinda like how dark everything is, it sets a cool mood. Though the depth of field kinda brings it away from the mood. Maybe post screens of it well lit so we can see the textures better.
After a small delay, thanks Odeca that's some great feedback. I was able to correct most points, except the pinching in the buttstock. Here's some screens of the final hipoly, so far, with 50 round rum. And now on to the lowpoly.
Macbook Air 11" - it's probably xmas till it's available here in China :/ I always wanted a super small and light (not necessarily powerful) notebook with a proper nvidia card and a great screen which I could take to work.
The set is now done and up on the workshop, I was waiting for some 2d art for a loading screen but have ended up going with a render. Hope you all like the set - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=476919138
