I'm doing modeling and texturing at the same time, cuz I don't know if I can do this type on texturing (is my first time doing it) I'm painting from zero, I know I'm not Using all the hi poly model, But I'll try to blend with some bakes too. Hope you like it [SKETCHFAB]1c92dd5ec3c047b0945eccb0eafadbc7[/SKETCHFAB]
....Proportions of the sword? You might want to bevel the handle that is squared out. Just to give it some smooth edge ( Just a little bit) like it is in the concept. :) You can get rid of that pixelated edges in the normal map, by blending them out (just the pixelated edges not the entire thing.) Over all, kick ass work…
Of course they are re-using assets... From what I understand thats the whole idea : Place props in your world the regular way, then dress it all up with stamping and painting. I would guess that the repeating concrete barriers that you saw (macro) most likely have different dirt layers to blend them with the surrounding…
This kind of grass, spread so much across the surface (especially onto the snow) doesn't really work for me. What I would do is, to blend a dirt texture with the snow in the ground mesh, in all the areas that are supposed to be in some way more "protected" from the snow storm. It's in those areas where the vegetation would…
If you want to make a game environment, the best bet will be to use the terrain feature in a game engine. Which engine do you plan to use? Most engines let you import height maps, and blend maps. You could also use a terrain tool like World Machine to edit the height map by adding roads, etc.
this looks sweet xoliul. Any chance for a video? Would love to see the effects in motion. Also is your sun based off Epic's procedural sky material? Think a subtle fresnel effect will help pop the ship out more rather than blending in. Also the guy that made a concept, just bookmarked his flickr page. Awesome stuff in…
Enjoying this vibe alot! It's working very well. Only crit would be that some areas might benefit for more 'wedging' aka shape interlocking into one another instead of blending together. It's working beautifully for the torso connection with the legs and head, but the arms themselves could benefit from more silhouetting -…
awesome design! loving the last pose, and the way he holds the weapon in the first sketchfab link is very original and well executed! would love to see this animated.. how awesome would this look if he could swim around in a game fluently, smooth as hell.. not rigid with short blend times like games today.. dayum :) very…
Books on Tape (or DVD.) Music isn't sufficient for multi hour drives. Also adding an hour or two to drive along the Rio Grande on interesting twisty roads may be a blessing to the flat utter boredom of the Southwest Highways. I haven't driven I-10 in Texas, but I have driven I-5 in California enough. Scott Scott
Try mixing parts of photos of metal (go out with a camera and find interesting surfaces, take high-res photos if you can). Just add them as a new layer and change the blending mode to quickly vary the surface. Using Photoshop filters and tools by themselves without lots of heavy manual painting is never going to result in…
