Thanks 43! We are not old guys, are we? For my birthday I had to replace my thermostat in my house because it picked today to die! Friday I am playing the Links at Lands End, should be fun
the ideas and IPs that peeps around here create are worth more than any mesh. a base mesh or texture is just your time and knowledge (valuable but completely replace-able) a concept or idea is worth a whole lot more
Neil Blevins has an interest in replacing Photoshop (all subscription soft actually) and I believe he gave Affinity a shot - I don't think it stuck tho. He keeps a wishlist for it - it may be of interest in this inquiry. http://www.neilblevins.com/cg_tools/wishlist/wishlist_affinity.htm Daf
I wonder if there's an action figure with accurate proportion and skin surface detail, like a superhero figure, that could be used as a poor-man's anatomy reference (although "superhero" and "accurate" are contradictory terms). If it's articulated, it could even replace that wooden mannequin used for figure drawing.
I'm currently looking for a replacement jaw :poly121: Seriously this is insane, this looks so real ! I whish someone could soon put a good UE4 tutorial about interior lighting, global illumination and all that stuff. Lighting is really my weakest point ...
@Rogelio After some tweaking, replacing one noise with another, overall it's complete. I backed off on the crumbly rock, finished off the roughness pass and found out the color was too white on the base and toned it down and it appears more natural than before.
I was thinking about getting a Droid X to replace my old cellphone (really old cellphone) but if the iPhone is going to have graphics this good I may end up getting an iPhone 4. Even though I can barely afford either...
Replacing block-out proxies with actual finished geo. Got a few modular pieces done. Don't have chains in yet because they take a while to place and I'm literally going to unwrap 1 link and copy it out when I'm dressing the scene.
Thanks to some awesome help from a friend I have got a replacement temporary PC with my hard drive in!! I have managed to start this up again today and made the low poly for my clockface. Still no glass and a WIP texture but its in!
