25 mil? what I can barely get 300k to import/run properly on similar specs, no idea how it would handle 10 mil let a lone 25 (though I saw some of those epic renders, no idea how they got that in max running well)... maybe something is wrong with my software...hehe -

You need more spec in your objects. Everything right now just feels flat. What is the lighting setup? I'm guessing you just have 1 dominant directional light right now. It looks like you might have a height fog in there, but it really isn't helping add anything to your scene. -

Good luck man, I hope that you see this one to the finish. The cavern idea is interesting. With the floor submerged in water, you could also go above and beyond and do some animated water reflection on the ceiling with an animated spec map. This could help your map stand out for portfolio. Think like this but less intense: -

Thanks man! Yeah im going to really spec the armor up alot. Since it's made of brass/copper, i'm going to really push and pull those highlights and lowlights. I am actually looking at other animal references to find some good patterns to put on his arms, side of his legs and back. -

well you could...model the interiors of tyhe light fixtures and them use a refractive shader set up with the normals only effecting the refraction (not spec) shure that would help spend a few more and would look ace edit-scratch that youve already done it- although maybe you could add another layer,...haha -

daz, i think the ambient stuff is temporary, i know the engine programmer and he is really amazing, i think the second they drop the screens with new lighting model all comparisons to wow will end. i guess we all have to wait and see. i am egarly waiting to see this stuff lit and with spec maps. -

Thanks a bunch, do you know of any pages that explain exactly what a lot of these maps do (detailedly) i mean i know what a spec, bump, colour and whatnot do, but i don't exactly know how or why they work (especially for SSS)this has always plagued me a bit. sorry for the incovenience. -

Hi there Axios, this is looking pretty good. It's really got that Alien feel to it. I think you should bevel the edges I've highlighted here, then rebake the normal map. Then those edges will show up better in Unreal, especially once you've added your normal and spec maps. I'm looking forward to seeing more :) -

I remember the model pages being filled with lengthy reviews that slowed the process. If they're ever up again, just provide the name, image, specs, and any additional info. I miss the days when having a functional model in game was inspiring, and diversity in character design was allowed. I wanted something of mine on… -

the first pictures are from "Death to Spies" pc title, wich is already shipped. It's a stealth-action game.
