yes i've came across that site a few time ago and since then i want to buy one of those things! but once again, Cg is too expensive to be just an hobbie, so we got to make some sacrifices . but, even thou those are great references, i payed the same money for Gray's Anatomy. if you're good at it, maybe you could work as a freelancer or start your own small business? a friend of mine does make good money doing stuff like arch and industrial viz (like images for construction manuals, demos of machines etc.) and still has time for other hobbies and goes on vacation alot. it's not games, but he… -

Why bother learning more programming when you are saying it's not your primary focus ? Wouldn't it be more interesting to use the free time that you are already planning for programming to make some more personal art stuff ? If programming is not your primary goal you should keep it as a hobby and work you art instead.… -

Characters & modular environment pieces, modularity just turns me on. I do enjoy concepting and illustration but purely as a personal hobby, I wouldnt ever want it to be owned or constrained as in a game workplace, being a personal and expressive outlet.
