I think it looks very cozy. And like others have said, it has a nice concept-art-ish quality to it. Very warm and colorful. Maybe it's on a planet with no storm or rain? :P I do still get a kind of uncomfortable feeling looking at the stool/bar counter height ratio. I can imagine myself sitting there hunched over almost…
It would be nice if light came through the windows, alternatively make it night time? There's also a little too much light coming from the lamps. It shows off your texture work better this way but inns are usually more dimly lit for that cozy look. Could also reduce the contrast on the floor tiles, the black lines are a…
As far as the "latrine" comments go, I feel compelled to say that it grinds my gears when the company you work for won't spring for urine blockers to go between the urinals. For some reason I just can't cozy up to the notion of "splashback" from co-workers no matter how great their CG is. I'm guessing they don't want my…
Can't use Physique, cos then I'd be popping in between the two. And physique is guff. Anyway, I've come up with a possible solution, which is a work in progress...I'll explain it after ranting Basically, what I want cannot be done - maxscript has holes. The solutions posted are the same as the one I have already - select a…
Yeah, I know how horrible Maya is with skinning and while I am very familiar with spreading my influences around, I'm mainly thrown off by the model I made being an unmerged mesh, unlike any other model I've skinned before. That's my challenge so I brought it on myself lol Thanks for the input, I played around with the…
hmmm I thought I already answered this....not too complicated but I do understand that having some1 actually show you is usually a million times easier than it being told to you. Basically all I do is unwrap 1 piece like you did already and then select 'select by element' so that you instantly grab all the faces of any…
To OP: Dude, what you're hearing an inconsequential, coincidental similarity in a standard string run pattern, why are you claiming that it's copying? As an aspiring composer myself I take great issue with your comparison. What do you mean you can't believe no one at the studio caught this? You realize that it's a pattern…
never happened to me,- though my suggestion would be: select the objects you want to export, then shift+drag copy them and then finally export that copy. Delete the copy objects from your scene and continue with whatever. At least I write my exporters in a way that they create a temporary snapshot mesh of the model I want…
