Changing the mesh scale also affects the normals, and can cause these problems as the normals can "point out" more than 1, which is physically the limit. So if you have a mesh scaled at X 50%, Y 50%, Z 350% you'll get too bright speculars etc. -

If you want the best, you have to pay through the teeth. I just dropped $350 on my new 8800GTS a few weeks ago, and even that isn't powerful enough to run some current games maxed out. It's just the way PC hardware is. The way it's always been always will be. -

Yeah I know. I just really can't afford to not get this. I emailed them saying £18/hr for as many days a month as they can afford. I'd like to add that Lenovo is releasing a 13 inch gorilla glass covered IPS panel portable monitor with a built in wacom digitizer some time in the next month or two. Depends on the whiskey drinker. I prefer a peaty single malt. My two favourites are Lagavulin and Laphroaig. For $400, you could probably find a 25 year old Laphroaig. Smells like a smokey campfire mmmmmmm. :) If you want something smoother, you could go with an 18 year old Macallan with a sherry finish, probably $350-ish.… -

I second this for the UK. But I haven't seen at lot of jobs listed for a senior position below 35k. Living in London you are looking at at least £1,000 for a decent one bedroom apartment.
