TicoTaco: More geo is the answer. One of the easiest ways to get a shape like that in Max (aside from with the built-in tools) would probably be Marius's Smooth Edges script: http://www.mariussilaghi.com/smooth_edges.htm
would you be able to post a pic of what your plane looked like before you punched the holes in it? shoot sorry for the double post should have edited my other one
cant really make out what it is you are making and therefore hard too help you with it. The pinching is very small it seems like.. When baked down it may even be less visible?
what do you expect people to do with this request? Whats your take on it so far? To me it looks like a bunch of primitives and some additive/subtractive bools to get the basic shape.
Having some trouble with that flat parts on the beginning of the barrel. I'm almost there, just need to fix a couple of things and move around some verts. But i'd like to see how others aproach it.
would you mind sending me the FBX (no obj, cant open them up in blender) I would like to see why they issue occur. Being a flat area. This seems weird.
It is definitely elevated in mine too. What steps did you take to make your example? Looks like the part where the cylinder slants down into the elevated art is a straight drop with no curve?
Hanzhefu https://streamable.com/maux Not exactly like your image but no edge at the indentation. You get the idea. Bend a plane a little to make the curvature, then extrude the edges and work your way out.
I want to take the sphere and duplicate it along the curve selected, I'd like to be able to control the amount of duplicates and the distance apart. How can I do this? Im working on Maya 2017
