Id think your main risk would be the contaminants and salts in the water, not the water itself. If your computer is clean, you could probably submerge it in a tank of distilled water while its running and not have a problem.
i could imagine the future of board games. having animated characters as chess peices moving around your kitchen table. or an all out world war in your livingroom. those tanks were cool.
Very interesting info Keyser. In regards to Box office sales though, don't forget the power of the DVD. Often times a movie can tank in the theaters and easily make its money back on DVD sales.
polycounts very own "Dutch" is one of the heads. He posted it a few years back. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67202&highlight=costume edit: I challenge someone to build a 6 foot penis tank...
What EQ said. Cars need to be super smooth and those kind of surfaces don't work well with normal map compression. I've seen it being used on isolated parts like logos, gas tank cap and such though!
'Hard Edges' in the Bake texture maps thingy is giving me unexpected results. The edges in the render are offset, and doesn't match the UVs...also, the lowest thickness (1) is way too fat, and my model is to scale (if that matters, it's a tank)
Started adding some small elements around. To save some polycount i will add a few gear parts on the front and add a gear image on the background as a mockup for extra shapes. Also adjusted the main tank's height and the pedal's length.
That's the engine cover complete, apart from two hinges for the centre hatch which I will add in later. Going to move onto the exhaust pipes and other gubbinz actually on the rear of the tank now, then stowage and tools for the side and it will be done.
But this is polycount :P With penis-tank, and GIFs of just about everything you need to communicate with others. BTW, what software did you use to write this ? Did you use MS Word ? or Notepad ? or just the WYSIWYG Editor ?
