I've not been asked (and expect to be ignored), but I have alternative version in photoshop. No harm to anyone, the new design will bring radial changes, but it is ultra nasty. This would have been further on, but Erik and I went on a wee pub crawl (home for chips an pro evo).
I've got to say that Red orchestra is a truly amazing mod, (infact the only one i play) its a shame there are so few servers for such great mods. Cant quite figure out why epic had such bad luck in this area given all that they put into it.
I see what you did there lonewolf, Went from single epic wepons to full-on-wepontard uberness. Great modeling! With all that time you took it wouldent hurt to make some extra mats for better presentation. suggestion - more shots! and maybe some of your tricks ;)
Some people might advised against it since it's still being worked on by Epic but have a look into dynamic lighting and dynamic global illumination, the latest UE4 has improvements on dynamic lighting and it's features do vastly improve the scene without having to click the Build button again and again.
I have been using it today and to begin with it made me feel sick. So I turned it off for an hour, let it come back on automatically and now I love it! It is 5:42am here and normally my eyes would be stinging but they really aren't at all! Epic program!
@NegevPro Woohoo! Yeah baby! I received my "Student Developer Pack" about 21 hours ago (forgot to post it here then). So excited! hehe. Btw, I got the pack as soon as I finished submitting the "Request a discount" form. Bam!!! Thanks Github and Epic!
What I would do is what Epic did when they rolled out UE4, $30 download and then you don't have to pay until you want monthly updates. Although I would make the first month free so people can download it and try it out.
Glad you got it to work! Sadly there is no option inside of Cascade for ignoring rotations when attaching. Activating local space on an emitter will follow both. It'd be nice if you can use each exclusively from one another, but we'll see if Epic ever implements something like that.
Nice blockout, and props for doing it, instead of being too precious with the previous one :) Like Epic said, this is going in the right direction :) Perhaps the circular roof in the bg could be scaled down a bit? Seems a little out of proportion. Maybe it is just the thickness of the pillars, or maybe it is just me :)
Most likely the UV seam. UDK from my experaince has always handed seams terribley. Another reason Epic uses detail normal maps as they almost remove the noticeably of the UV seam. Still slightly there but in game you never really notice it unless you are looking for it.
