@Larry That was the goal and yet hopefully someone may find this helpful not only from my mistakes and choices but the discussions can give some solid insight. I'm fairly new and trying to get into the industry but I'm very hopeful. Always appreciate the advice as this stuff is a constant learning experience and I think…
Looks good but to make it even better try to make the bevels a bit larger so that they catch nice highlights at medium distance. Also, try to lock down the normals on flat faces as there are some areas where they dont look flat. As for the texturing, it could really use some object space maps (curvature, ao) blended in…
First try here for me here I would love to challenge myself with some vegetation, as I need to learn how to do it and wanted to try out Unreal https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Pm11L1 https://www.artstation.com/artwork/oYd6m https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Ka9me4 the last one might look a bit too difficult but I give…
Hi currently I'm trying my best to retopologize this guy but its harder then it's look. I stuck with head also first attempt of the shoulder went bad as well. I'm not sure if I should stop the loop and try to close nose on separate because right now it's creating a lot more on the eyes as well. Anyway tomorrow I will try…
Hey man, the character looks cool. But it´s really hard to take a proper look at it in a video like this where you have to start, stop and rewind a bunch to try and see it. I´d suggest trying to re upload those photos because a lot of people aren´t going to bother trying to watch the video since it´s a bit of a hassle :)
Try pressing the "Shade Selected Faces" button on in the command panel. Although sometimes they don't show up for me either. I think maybe your falloff is too high that it's actually encasing the entire model. Try lowering the falloff value to 0, and work up from there. Also, in the end try Resetting xForms. That might fix…
Good first try. You should proabably move on and try to understand the "planes of the face" as it were so you get an understanding of the underlying structures of most faces. Right now the face looks really lumpy, not many somewhat hard edges to contrast soft edges. On that note, download the crap out of this and try to…
Naw, We've got tools to capture nice cube maps... I have a pretty nice library of HDRI's, and I'm trying to figure out a way to iterate on the lighting in a scene quickly, just to try out different times of day, and play with the mood set by the lighting. I'm basically trying to adapt the techniques I've used in the past…
well i try export obj with stack applied, but it wont read the crease from max or there a setting i should applied? and i try with fbx and get the same result, it just react like there no crease maybe i should try export with maya it just stupid if zbrush have dynamic subdiv but cant't use crease from other program
Try practice drawing different primitives in perspective. Experiment drawing the primitives at different horizon lines. And try multiple vanishing points. Kepp repeating And then to go deeper, learn about overlap and line weight. Also if you have the chance/time try spending some time 3D. All this helps train the eye. Good…
