I was thinking roughly the same thing. Instead we can have a Monthly Texture Challenge. The creators of it will choose a model. It could be complex could or not be complex. The model will have no UV's laid out. This will allow for the people to get experience in unwrapping and texturing.
Hey! I'm not sure what the issue is you're describing here. You don't need anything special to make meshes load in DDO - all you have to do is load them up via the mesh importer in the DDO Base Creator.
Update on the centaur concept. I have been watching some videos by some of the amazing creators here who are kind enough to show their process. I am planning on making a few big changes to how I have been working.
Nice Orthos gauss. indian_boy, you might like to check this out too, it has helped me a lot Hey, how about one of you uber Model creators start a sticky homework thread to help out us noobs
http://www.videosift.com/video/Pitch-correction-like-youve-never-seen I never thought they'd be able to do this. "They found a way to separate the harmonics of each note in a chord, allowing individual notes to be manipulated at will." For all you hobby music creators out there, your day has arrived.
Hi all! I decided on my own risk to make art connect with story of champion. So I use one character not from the Champions, Orianna's creator her father. I'm not sure that this is good idea but it will be interesting and I gonna try. Good luck everyone:)
marks, Joost, Trevelyan . Special thanks to you guys for providing informations about these techniques! Its awesome to get them from the creators of the stuff that inspired this thread. I will write that wiki page soon, based on what we collected here.
"We've had plenty of movies and game set in European and Asian context." Pretty much all those Movies and Games are from European, Asian or American creators, thats why you see those things so often, thats all there is to it.
I love the idea, especially if it was made open ended. Let's say that the goal could be to "Model a hammer" but the style of the hammer would be up to the creator. This would show us both workflow and the individual's take on the given subject. I would love that
we still have the rest of Q4 games to be released such as dragon age and assassin creed 2 if it doesn't get backdated. also i hated RE5, its no wonder the original creator Shinji Mikami didnt didnt want to play it!:poly003:
