Jessica suggested I added a little value to create more depth, so I choose my fave of the ones I had and did this. This isn't the final lighting scheme, I just wanted to break up front, mid, and background. And thanks Dante!! :D Any other feedback is welcomed :)
Yes Ndo painter is the only thing not working for me. There are no tutorials that show how to work around this as i have alphas that i want to paint onto objects and do wields with but i cant. Finding information is hard for Quixel suite and sure the ones on the site are ok but that is only it everything is working lol
damn looks pretty good man. As far as polycount goes this is pretty round in the cone area and you don't want to lose that sweet detail, but the table can be pretty optimized. Rough estimate i would say 750-1300 tris. Maybe more but I would try to keep it in that range.
Also- here is an older pic of the soldier, with a trench coat. I changed it and just cant decide which is better.:susp: by the way, the xsi demo water marks are from xsi mod tool. the mod tool doesn't have a renderer and I didnt want to set this all up in kerkythera, sorry.
I recommend always mapping in the 0-1 range, if you want to see the non square texture in the uv editor just click the button that looks like a squished face it will toggle between square and unsquare but I always work in square mode even if I am making a rectangular texture.
Dried cayenne peppers placed on the floor. It works for dogs who sniff around too much, and would probably work for a cat. They cant stand the stuff (rightfully so). You might want to test it out in a controlled space just in case your cat decides to eat the whole thing :P
Just go down to the local compusa or best buy and try out a few see what gets you the best results in store. It doesn't matter if the camera can take cool pictures if you cant with it. Its the sure fire way to make sure you get what you want.
if you have used modo so much and u know modos power then u know what i want and what other tools like max, blender, maya cant give. have you use meshfusion? its some superior way of booleans.. not sure tho. didnt try. have to try
